St. Heribert

On our vineyard ‘ST. HERIBERT’ on the edge of Profondeville, near to the village of Criee de Wepion we have cultivated a Pinot Noir precooz. The poor dense soil of this terrain is especially good for this grape. St. Heribert is part of the peak of Marlagne, which is characterised by sandstone layers, quartzite and conglomerate banks, slate and silt. Due to the constant wind the vineyard dries out quickly and this prevents disease.
This vineyard is possibly the highest in the Walloon region. It gives a juicy; well keep able pinot noir with a slightly fresh aftertaste.
